CWIT alumni Chanakya Vyas' new short film LOO gains acclaim on the festival circuit.

Chanakya Vyas is a playwright, screenwriter, director and educator, and received the Charles Wallace India Trust Long Term Award in 2014.

Chanakya’s latest short film LOO follows a domestic help working in an apartment building who decides to secretly use the toilet in the house where she works. The employer finds out, and unsaid norms between them begin to blur, as class bias comes to the surface. 

LOO was the official selection in the 2024 New York Indian Film Festival as well as the short film competition section Official Selection at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 and the Bangalore International Short Film Festival 2023
